Privacy policy
Short version: we collect only what you send us, we don’t use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and we never sell your information.

This policy explains how CIP Sentry (“CIP Sentry”, “we”, “us”) handles information collected through this website. It does not cover the CIP Sentry software, which customers install and operate on their own servers; we have no access to data stored in customer installations.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you request a quote or email us, we receive what you provide, such as your name, work email, organization, role, and details about your compliance program.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
- Bot protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile processes limited device and browser signals for this purpose only.
- Data kept on your device. Our free tools (the readiness self-assessment and compliance calendar) save your answers in your own browser’s local storage so you can come back to them. That information is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings or the tool's reset button.
How we use information
- to respond to your requests, prepare quotes and schedule walkthroughs;
- to send you information about CIP Sentry that you asked for, and occasional relevant updates (you can opt out at any time);
- to operate, secure and improve the website;
- to meet legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Cloudflare (website hosting, security, analytics, bot protection);
- our email and email-delivery providers (to receive and send messages);
- our customer relationship management system (to keep track of conversations).
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the security of our systems.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics cookies. Turnstile may set a strictly necessary cookie to complete a security check. Because we do not track visitors across sites, we treat all visitors the same whether or not their browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal.
Retention
We keep quote requests and correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business relationship, and then delete them within 24 months of our last contact unless we must keep them longer by law.
Security
This website is static, served over HTTPS with strict security headers, and stores no form submissions on web servers. Form submissions are delivered by email to our team. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please don’t send BES Cyber System Information or other sensitive operational details through the website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by writing to privacy@cipsentry.com. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we will honor applicable requests.
Children
This website is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
