Optional add-on module

CIP Sentry AI Assistant

An optional module that guides your team through each process, imports your asset records on day one and builds reports from plain-English requests. Mock audits and audit response preparation are coming soon. It runs on your own hardware, and your team approves everything it produces.

What it does

Help where CIP work is slowest.

Getting started, getting your assets in and getting answers from your records, with audit preparation coming soon. The assistant works from your CIP Sentry records, on your server.

Guided setup and help chat

Ask CIP questions in plain English, or say you’re new and get a guided tour: accounts, roles, policies, facilities, systems, people, then assets, in the right order, each one a click away.

Asset import on day one

Start from the documents you already have. The assistant reads spreadsheets, Word files, PDFs, scans and photos into asset records and fills in baseline fields for you to review.

Reports in plain English

Describe the report you need. The assistant builds it from your records, summarizes it and answers follow-up questions about it.

Coming soon

Mock audit

Rehearse before the auditors arrive. Run a practice audit across your program and get a list of gaps and weak or missing evidence to fix first.

Coming soon

Audit response preparation

Draft answers to auditor questions and data requests from your own records and evidence, ready for your subject matter experts to review, edit and approve.

Guided help

A guide for every process, not just a chat box.

A new administrator gets the setup order that makes everything else work, with a button to each page. Anyone can ask what a requirement means, how to complete a task or where something lives in CIP Sentry.

  • Step-by-step setup tour for new administrators
  • Plain-English answers to CIP questions, citing the requirement
  • Links straight to the right page and tab

Asset import

Your asset inventory on day one.

Most utilities start with spreadsheets, Word files, vendor spec sheets and photos of nameplates. Upload them and the assistant fills in the asset form, field by field, for you to check before anything is saved.

  • Reads PDFs, Word files, scans and photos
  • Fills baseline fields such as operating system, firmware and open ports
  • Without the module, spreadsheet and CSV import still works

Guardrails

Built to keep your team in charge.

Never decides a fact

Due dates, overdue items and report numbers always come from CIP Sentry’s records and rules. Numbers the AI can’t trace to your records are removed.

Drafts, not decisions

Everything it produces is a suggestion or a draft until a person on your team reviews it. Accountability stays with your CIP Senior Manager and staff.

Local and switchable

An open model runs on your hardware. Choose Basic, Standard or Advanced to match it, or switch AI off at any time.

AI Assistant FAQ

Questions teams ask about AI

Is the AI Assistant required?

No. It’s an optional add-on module. CIP Sentry’s modules, compliance clocks, workflows and reports all work without it, and asset lists still import from spreadsheets, Word, CSV and text PDFs.

Does the AI send our data anywhere?

No. It runs a local, open model on your own hardware: the CIP Sentry server or another machine on your network that you choose. Nothing is sent to us or to the internet.

Can the AI change our compliance records or dates?

No. Due dates, overdue items and report numbers always come from CIP Sentry’s own records and rules, and any AI sentence with a number that isn’t in your records is removed. What the assistant produces is a suggestion or a draft until someone on your team reviews it.

When are mock audits and audit response preparation available?

Both are coming soon to the AI Assistant. Ask about timing when you request a quote.

What hardware does it need?

Basic mode runs on any computer. Standard mode (reading scans and photos, plain-English reports) needs a graphics card with about 8 GB of memory. Advanced mode uses a 24 GB card or a shared AI server on your network. We help you size it during the walkthrough.

Can we add it later, or turn it off?

Yes. Add it to your license at any time, and an administrator can switch AI off in settings whenever needed.

How is it priced?

As a separate line item on your quote. Choose “Include it” under the AI Assistant question on the quote form, or ask us to add it to an existing license.
