About
Critical infrastructure deserves compliance tools built with the same care.
CIP Sentry exists because too many utilities run their CIP programs on spreadsheets, shared drives and memory, while the tools on the market assume a big team and a cloud contract.
Why we built CIP Sentry
NERC CIP asks a lot of every registered entity, and the obligations keep growing: vendor remote access controls for low impact sites in 2026, virtualization in 2028, internal network security monitoring from 2028. Most of those obligations land on small teams at public power utilities, cooperatives and generators.
We built CIP Sentry to give those teams one secure workspace organized the way the standards are, with every recurring deadline calculated for them, every change authorized and recorded, and evidence stored against the requirement it proves. It runs on their own servers, so the most sensitive information a utility holds never has to leave the building.
We built it requirement by requirement from the official NERC standards, and we keep our public guides current as FERC and NERC change them.

Your data stays yours
We build software that runs inside your perimeter, because compliance data about the grid shouldn’t live in a vendor’s cloud.
Precision over hype
We cite the requirement, say what the software does and doesn’t do, and never claim a tool makes anyone compliant.
Built for small teams
Most CIP programs are run by one to five people. Every screen is designed to save them time.
Design partners
Help shape CIP Sentry.
We are working with a small group of utilities as design partners: early access, founder-level support and preferred pricing, in exchange for honest feedback.
